David A. Streets

Lead Pastor

David Alan Streets is a Lead Pastor at Emmanuel Church.  After graduating from Richland High School, Dave attended Geneva College from 1975 to 1976 and Grace College from 1976 to 1979, where he received his Bachelor of Science.  He continued his education at Moody Bible Institute Graduate School, where he received his Master of Arts in Ministry.  He pastored Westmont Baptist Church in Johnstown for eighteen years prior to joining the Emmanuel Baptist Church ministry team in 1999.  He has a wife, Sandy, and a daughter, Mallory.

Dave's life verse, Psalm 37:4-5, states, "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this."  Dave says he is in ministry because "the Lord has called me to carry out the Great Commission of proclaiming the gospel and making disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.  He has given me a love for people and a passion to build into their lives the Word of God.  There is nothing I'd rather do than introduce people to Jesus Christ and to help them become more like Him."  He also says, "The fact that God has called me into His service is proof positive that He can use the foolish things of this world to bring Him honor and glory.  God has taken in me, a man who truly dreaded being in front of people, and strengthened me and enabled me to teach others.  I praise the Lord for His faithfulness, mercy and patience.  It is a privilege to be serving the Lord and the people of Emmanuel."
