Why Pastors' Prayers

I guess we need to ask ourselves the question, "Why not?"  We need to be a praying people, in the words of one pastor,

      "We're to busy not to pray."

Maybe that is the key.  We are not praying because are lives are so full, we gut things out on our own, and in that state of mind we usually find ourselves flat on our faces ~ and I am not talking about being prone before God.

Hear the words of this man of God;

     "How many of us admit to taking a mere five minutes for prayer!  The claim is  that there is no time.  The reality is that a heart desire for prayer is lacking.  Many do not know how to spend half an hour with God!  It is not that they absolutely do not pray; they may pray every day - but they have no joy in prayer.  Joy is the sign that God is everything to you." Andrew Murray  1854

Pray...pray because ~ Jesus is your only treasure (Matthew 13:44) ~ and in Him, in prayer you find joy. Joy, for living for the glory of God.
